For I am a Flower
“For I am a Flower” is about feeling stuck, in your own life and not feeling like you live it, but instead how you just exist, feel hopeless and compare yourself because of the fact that you're stuck while everyone else excels, leaving you behind.
Maybe in another life I'll be a flower. I'll spread my colours With pride, With glee, And I'll look upon the sky, And I'll feel the rain, As nothing more pure And simple- Yet so complex, As a flower is I'll see the butterflies fly, The bees buzz, The crowds pass, All in a daze. And ill feel the warm sun- Be thankful for all I've got, For i am a flower- More simple, There is none. In some sense I'm a flower, Stuck in one place. I see the butterflies fly, The bees buzz, And the crowds pass, All in a daze, Stuck in one place. Why can't I be Like the butterflies and bees, So full of potential and will - None like me. More idle there will not be, For I want to soar the skies - Like the birds, I want to swim like the fish, I want to be as free, But I'm stuck as a flower, Sitting there - Beautifully. I guess there is art to my craft, But it is none like these For I am a flower, I'll stay in one place, I'll watch you all in a daze. Maybe someday I'll join too, Or maybe someday I might just learn to appreciate - Life as I've got it, As it is. Isn't it wonderful - Being a flower, What can be more beautiful than me?
