The Folded Note

Author’s Note: The inspiration for "The Folded Note" was to focus on highlighting the importance of one’s mental health. The inspiration came from my own mental health which I had a quite a hard time dealing with back then myself.

Today morning I just died,

A soul crushed beneath sorrows tide,

Finding my body my mom cried,

Beside my bed a folded note laid still,

Where I left my last words, folded in place

She called my dad, who came running in,

Held by body, close to his face,

He hid his pain, in front of my face,

Where I saw my brother, shocked in place

Later the police came in,

And Investigated the case,

Blood splashed all around , a crimson stain,

Echoes of torment, a silent refrain

My funeral day, a somber sight,

My mom, cried holding my grave,

White flowers bloomed, in the fading light,

A farewell to me, in the silent night

Weeks passed by, the world moved on,

Memories of me, like whispers gone

The blood on my walls were now cleaned,

My room re painted, in remembrance of me,

Soon my family was as normal than before,

My presence faded, a forgotten lore

The folded note, a silent plea,

Lost and gone, for non to see,

Guess they didn't understood, the words

"I was in PAIN!"...
