Recharge

“Recharge” is about finding an unexpected person who makes you feel safe and energized.

I need to recharge

I have no where to go

Everyone is everywhere

There’s no place to hide

What can I do?

Where can I go?

“Hey”

I feel a hand on my shoulder

“Are you okay?”

I don’t know you

Who are you?

Why are you talking to me?

“I’m fine”

“You’re not. Come with me”

Where are they taking me?

Why am I following them?

I feel… drawn to them

We’re outside on the rooftop

They go near the edge

“Come sit”

They say

I feel like everything around me is crashing down but still I sit down

We just sit and talk about everything and nothing at the same time

I feel at peace with myself

Why?

What did you do?

How did you do this?

I get up to leave and I turn around but just before I leave I need to ask them their name

but…they’re gone

I lay in my bed staring at the ceiling

Recharging on my own

It didn’t feel the same

I’ve never had someone that felt like that

Home…it’s funny I always thought it was a place but maybe it’s a person or a feeling

I don’t know but I need to find it again
